Below are a couple of pictures from the weekend's sixth form disco. Andreas did a fantastic job as DJ and helping to organise the event with the sixth form social committee. I am told it was a great event (in particular, by Andreas!).

Remove cook up a feast
This week, our Remove boys were challenged to cook dinner for the 13 boys in Mertens Remove. As always, they rose to the challenge and cooked a great meal of nachos, pasta bake and pancakes. Both Mr Curran's kitchen and the house kitchen saw a lot of action, as did the impromptu dance floor that was created after dinner!
Chinese New Year in Mertens
Saturday 21st January saw Mertens House play host to a boarding social, celebrating Chinese New Year of the Dragon, 2012. Head of House, Leo Ko and a team of Chinese students organised a truly spectacular celebration of all that is Chinese; from calligraphy to chopsticks, Chinese proverbs and amazing food, all prepared by our own students. The team visited China town in London to buy the food and brought back decorations from China, when they returned at Christmas. Everyone went to a huge amount of effort and I think all who came left, having experienced a little of what makes New Year so special.
