Football v's Alleyns
A few pictures from Saturday's fixtures. A great fixture for the club with some great results, including a 4-1 win for the firsts.
Lower Sixth 'dining - in'
As is tradition, each year we invite all of the Lower Sixth, in small groups, to design, prepare and enjoy a three course meal for house staff. The year started well with a beautiful meal of bruschetta, Spaghetti Bolognese and pancakes. Well done boys.

Shell Ten Pin Bowling
The 8 new Mertens Shell boys joined in on the Ten Pin bowling social last night. It was great to see boys and girls, boarders and day, and international and local students mixing freely! I am not sure about the quality of the bowling though!!

Boarders' weekend social - Curry on tour
Our weekend social for this weekend was a progressive dinner, starting with Indian starters outside Mertens, Curry in the gym! and ice creams, music and chat on the bourse. A great evening. Sunday evening has been spent outside by the BBQ.
Shell 2015
Welcome to Mertens to our new Shell boys. It has been a busy couple of weeks and the boys have coped extremely well.
Shell Watersports
Despite the murky skies, our new Shell boys really enjoyed their afternoon spent at Ardingly reservoir, sailing, kayaking and raft-building.
Start of another exciting year
It was with pride and excitement that the new Lower Sixth Form Prefects welcomed new joiners to Mertens for the start of the Michaelmas term, 2015. Congratulations to the boys who excelled in the interview process- I look forward to working with you all this year.
